CopyNight is a monthly social gathering of people interested in restoring balance in copyright law. They meet over drinks once a month in many cities to discuss new developments and build social ties between artists, engineers, filmmakers, academics, lawyers, and many others.
The next CopyNight in New York City will be on Tuesday, October 26th at 7PM. There will be no "official" presentation, but they'll be talking politics- specifically copyright-related issues such as Open Source Government, electronic voting, ACTA, and anything else you decide to Wikipedia and share.
They'll be at Vig Bar at 12 Spring St. at the corner of Elizabeth in Nolita in the back room. If you have ideas for topics/speakers for future CopyNights, please let them know. Feel free to pass along the invite, tweet or post.
CopyNight in New York City is hosted by Fred Benenson & Laure Parsons
