Song Without Music

I am not, by nature, a particularly musical person so I was startled when the lyrics of a song began to pop into my head.  Here is what there is of it, so far.  It is hereby issued under a Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license.

I've tried being subtle but I find I lose my place
Amidst the indirections and allusions.
So now for something different: It's time that I embrace
A way of speaking free of those confusions.

Subtle as a flying mallet!  That's right!
Subtle as a kick in the pants!
I'll be subtle as a flying mallet, yes sir!
I don't care who it disenchants.

I'm through with being tactfully suggestive.
I'm done with all those delicate asides.
I'm gonna be as subtle as an airborne bludgeon.
I'm gonna let my ego be my guide.

I'll be subtle as a flying mallet, oh boy!
I can't wait to try it out.
I'm gonna knock 'em over with my crude forthrightness.
I ain't leavin' any kind of doubt.
